I drove past two other places that serve shawarma just to come to Jerusalem Restaurant. Their food is just that good. The shawarma, the falafel, the hummus, everything is fresh and delicious! The owners are very kind and I love that it's a whole family affair! Great place with great food.
This was our first time coming here. Mind you, we're both from Peoria and this place has been around since we were kids when we first walked in the atmosphere and the hospitality were out of this world. This family is so incredibly sweet and down to earth and that is just so wonderful to see and be around. The food is great. It's amazing. It's like chef's kiss. Actually it is so good. We ordered the bee shawarma and the chicken shawarma and they were so amazingly delicious and the hummus I need like gigantic bowl please. We will definitely be back
I had the MOST amazing Experience going there. My sons got me turned onto Mediterranean food in Colorado and when I read about a fresh whole food restaurant in Peoria, I had to drive and try it. I was NOT disappointed. The food is AMAZING. So fresh and flavorful. The son was so incredibly nice chatting with me. The dad, owner of the business, was so very caring and took care of me. I will be back with my sons when they visit from Colorado. I am excited there is an Authentic Mediterranean Restaurant not too far to take them. Awesome food and experience! Highly recommend!
I stopped in here, passing through town and was pleasantly surprised. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The hummus is amazing. The salads are great, hummus is amazing, and kebabs are awesome. The sauces that came with my meal are mind blowing. When I came in the guys were closing I ordered my meal and they gave me some extra stuff that they didn’t wanna throw away. These guys are awesome. The flavor is unbelievable. The rice is delicious. Do yourself a favor come here for lunch or dinner. You won’t regret it.

This place has the BEST Schwarma and Falafel ive ever eaten in my life! The lamb shank on the weekend sells out and it's absolutely delectable as it falls off the bone. The baba ganush is super fresh and the meat on the kabobs are super flavorful, tender and juicy! Even the French fries were great! The owners are awesome, really good people and in my personal opinion this is the best Mediterranean feast in the city! We liked it so much we have been twice in an week and a half since we first discovered this hidden gem of a spot! Pro tip - Try the Barbican to drink is a fruit infused delicious malt beverage! (no alcohol)

The chicken shawarma plate with rice, salad and hummus with a side of pita was absolutely delicious! This was my first time eating here and I will definitely be coming back. I’ve tried multiple Mediterranean style foods in Peoria and this one is the MOST authentic! Food taste amazing! Everything is so fresh, the prices are amazing and the staff and service is amazing as well! You walk in and they make you feel like family!!!
We ordered the chicken shawarma, lamb kebab and falafel, and each got the Arabic tea with sage. Service was incredibly fast and friendly. Food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Loved the hummus! The owner and chef checked in with us to make sure we enjoyed our food, which we appreciated. Definitely worth the trip!
I was really struggling to find decent halal food in my first time vacation in the area. Found this place and I finally felt I had real tasty good meal.
